THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF ART
Art isn't solely a source of aesthetic pleasure; it's a potent force that resonates with our very being. Arts and culture represent one of the few areas in our society where people can come together to share an experience even if they see the world in radically different ways. Art is the only channel that allows us to process and find connection without words.

“Art helps us identify with one another and expands our notion of we - from the local to the global.”
— Olafur Eliasson
“Life beats down and crushes the soul, art reminds you that you have one.” .
— Stella Adler
OUR IMPACT PROGRAMS
Crisis works with over 9,000 homeless individuals per year across the UK and has been recognised by the British Government as a global leader in addressing homelessness. They have achieved remarkable success in providing support and solutions for those experiencing homelessness. Crisis believes that leveraging the power of the arts could significantly enhance the effectiveness of their programs. Therefore, they have partnered with The Art Equation to incorporate artistic interventions into their initiatives.
The Art Equation facilitates 90 workshops across six London centres, focusing on harnessing the power of art to foster connection, inspiration, a sense of belonging, community, creativity, and expression. These workshops include visual art classes, music workshops, and dance classes, benefiting over 2,700 participants.
The Young Film Academy (YFA) fervently collaborates with marginalized youth, empowering them to craft poignant film documentaries that illuminate the often-unheard stories of their communities. By furnishing a platform for these marginalized voices, the YFA not only bridges the accessibility chasm within the film industry but also kindles a beacon of hope in the hearts of aspiring young filmmakers.
The Art Equation proudly joins forces with the YFA in the UK and Canada to facilitate 15 workshops annually to equip young individuals with the necessary skills for film production. Additionally, we offer 30 on-set experiences to participants in both locations, providing invaluable practical exposure that prepares them for success in their future journeys within the film industry.

FAQs
-
We believe that artists deserve to be compensated for their art which is why we only charge a 40% fee on any art sold through our network, compared to the 50% cut studios usually take. This allows the artist to make a living and for us to cover transaction and administration fees all while continuing to expand our impact programs.
-
We have every intention of growing the amount of people we impact through art. To achieve this we will need to expand our programs making sure every member of our underserved communities gets a chance to connect.
